My car inspections offer a fully comprehensive pre purchase vehicle inspection which covers all aspects of the vehicle including the hybrid electric system, motors, inverters, charging system and battery regeneration. These inspections are carried out by fully independent qualified engineers with vast mechanical, electrical and panel work experience. Our comprehensive inspection should not compared with budget mechanical only inspections carried out by mobile mechanics.

Mobile EV Vehicle Checks

EV Pre purchase car inspection checks can be carried out at a car dealers premises or private sellers home/work place. Your potential purchase will be subject to a 300+ point vehicle inspection which includes a diagnostic scan to verify the vehicle mileage and check the condition of the vehicles electronics. The inspection covers all aspects of the vehicle but most importantly assesses the functionality of the EV charging system, in additon to the physical and diagnostic checks our full EV inspections also include a Aviloo battery report. (The test can also be added to Hybrid inspections for an additional fee)

Aviloo Battery Diagnostics

EV and Hybrid vehicles differ to the traditional engine driven vehices in that age and mileage won’t tell you anything about battery health. Charging behaviour, ambient temperatures, driving behaviour and even the state of charge when an EV is parked, all have an impact on the battery condition. Aviloo have developed specific, software-enabled tests in an aim to provide car buyers proof that when they buy a used EV the battery is in good shape.

Across Europe, Hyundai rely on Aviloo battery diagnostics as part their certified battery program and the Aviloo test is officially recognised by CARA, which provides approved certification to battery health check schemes.

The Aviloo test carried out by our engineers along side our pre purchase inspecitons provides a seperate independent report that evaluates:  Battery usage history, Cell voltage balance, Temperature readings, Battery management system (BMS) data and ehicle communication quality. Proviidng an overall state of health score and uses Aviloo's wealth of data to explain how that test score compares to similar cars on the market.

Free History Check

A free history check is carried out before all inspections to ensure the vehicle is free from theft, insurance write off or fraud. This check includes a Salvage Check to check for unrecorded accident damage. 

Your pre purchase inspection report is delivered promptly online and includes direct access to the engineer to discuss the findings detailed within the report. Additionally, we also provide online access to our vehicle image database via a link within your report, allowing you access to images taken during the inspection as referenced within your report.
